Best answer: You switched from Bible God to just God. The bible God being demonstrably false, does not automatically rule out all the other Gods and Goddesses people imagine. The bible only demonstrates the ignorance of the writers.

  • Theists, why do you suppose more than 2/3 of the population believe in a god that you know isn't real?

Best answer: They would view the belief in other Gods as supportive evidence of a higher power and then view their interpretation of their holy book/ religion as the proper interpretation, see anything else as ill informed.

Best answer: I am a gnostic atheist and I don't hate anybody. It took me time and research to get to my position and I am not going to fault other atheists for not caring enough to waste their time. Also agnostic atheists are on a different plane than agnostic theists, in that I find their agnosticism is based on imagining that slight possibility that they could be wrong. Even as a gnostic atheist, I can still imagine being wrong even though I make an excellent case for being gnostic. I think that is the difference, I did not just stop at rejecting an unsupported claim as most atheists do, I wanted more certainty and did the extra research to make a case against the existence of Gods. In terms of reasoning and avoiding irrationality, I often lay out a case why I believe agnosticism is the most irrational position, even over theism. Part of the problem with the term agnostic is that people use it in different ways with different meanings. While it technically means without knowledge, you still have to draw a line between without knowledge of other life in our universe and without knowledge of magical beings/creatures. One has a "real" possibility to be agnostic about, the other doesn't and that is where today's purely agnostics go wrong, they base it on an "imagined" possibility vs. a real possibility and agnostic atheists don't use agnosticism in this way, they use it to state there is an imagined possibility of being wrong.

Best answer: Theists believe in a particular God or Gods as defined by their religions. I suspect they would think you see evidence of some kind of Higher Power but have not investigated their holy books to define it. As an atheist, I can see how a deist could have read the holy books and just like myself, see where they fail to be from an Intelligence, yet still believe an Intelligence is required. It takes a lot more thought and knowledge to separate the deistic God from the God that cannot exist, but the deist is half way there as they ruled out all other Gods as man made based on the ignorance found in their holy books.

  • Why does the media make Trump out to be a bad guy when he's done so much to help America?

Best answer: Because the media is owned and paid for by the Democratic Party. They are no longer able to be unbiased where several times the media had reported good things about Trump only hours later having to retract it because their boss made them.

Best answer: It's not only theists, I can see religions hanging around forever in some form. Irrationality is just part of our human nature because we are emotional creatures. Atheists may not be irrational about Gods, but they are certainly irrational about other things. Look at liberals who are atheists, they are highly irrational. That is just the curse that comes from having emotions. Your belief is that reason should abolish religions, but it is near impossible to reason with the unreasonable, hence the blinders of irrationality. There is a need for religions or something to believe in and because of our human nature, I don't see that need disappearing.

Best answer: I am assuming you mean the christian God. This is rather tricky because christians will often give you empty answers that mean nothing but it is essentially about getting to a certain state of mind. Part of this is believing/trusting God is there for you, which eventually occurs if you participate in reading the bible to learn how God and Jesus work and participate with a church group that encourages a Godly mood. You could think of it like a new hobby that you are attempting to learn, there is the rough beginning as you try to get into the hobby but then you really get into with thoughts of your hobby running through mind even when you are not doing it. Likewise with God, the more you think about God, the more you feel involved in the hobby. This is what christians really mean by getting close to God, they become obsessed with thoughts of Gods and since our thoughts produce our feelings, they feel God is with them. If you try to pin a christian down to exactly what they mean by their nonsensical answers, you will realize they don't quite understand why they feel as they do as they attempt to give you superstitious answers that don't quite make sense to a rational person.

Best answer: At first, probably just looking at online chord charts to learn where you fingers go to form the basic chords A - G and their minors. Just making the strings ring properly is usually the first obstacle and it hurts pressing those strings for the first week or so. After you learn to play single chords, you can choose a simple song to help your speed in switching from one chord to the next. YouTube videos may help here. You don't have to learn all the chords, as a matter of fact, you can learn just three chords and play many, many songs, but they have to be three chords that go together, like E,A,D or C,F,G. You can add the rest of the chords later. Once you master the basic chords and their minors, then you can turn to learning lead guitar where just like chord charts, there are scale charts to help you go up and down the fret board playing the same note or chords but in different octaves. Again a combination of charts and youtube video will help.
