All of existence seems to hinge on energy conversions where one form of energy converts into other forms of energy. Even the Big Bang that produced this particular universe is nothing more than an energy conversion. The interesting part is that the universe is expanding, but into what? Again the answer seems to be into dark energy. I have no idea why energy just exists, it just does. I suppose God believers are in the same boat of not knowing why their particular God just exists, but it does help to eliminate an endless chain of causes where "something" just had to exist. I suppose you could look at it as a known "natural" reason, vs a supernatural/magical reason that is hypothesized.

  • If I believe in Jesus will I become smarter?

Best answer: Well not smarter, but maybe more confident. No two people are equal in thinking ability. Just because you are at the slower end doesn't mean you can't get there, it just means it takes you longer than most. Of course if you have a poor memory, you are done for in that department.

  • Is the American system of measurement based on 12?

Best answer: Outside of the field of science, yes. We did not come up with the system, it has been around for quite some time. I suspect in ancient times it was about using the 10 fingers and two hands to count with. Time is based on 12 where seconds and minutes stop at 60 instead of 100 and we have 24 hours, not some multiple of 10. show more

Best answer: I thought you would have heard about the lying liberal media by now. Trump ran against Hillary and it was apparent that not even many of the Democrats wanted Hillary. She ran lackluster rallies and the liberal media began to believe their own lies about how good she was doing. Trump not only won fair and square, but he is actually the good guy if you care about America doing great. What are future Democrats going to offer in place of the highest employment rate and a good economy that we had not seen in a very long time. Obama attempted to tell us to expect a poor economy and jobs not coming back to this country. Trump made it look so easy to prove Obama wrong. Sure there are other issues to tackle, but just imagine how fast they could get resolved if Democrats actually pitched in to help instead of whining that they lost their power due to poor decisions. The Republican Party is not much better, it s all Trump.

There are people born alcoholics who have never drank, but it is a demon that they constantly battle to stay away from while a person without that gene doesn't give alcohol a second thought and it is one less obstacle to tend with. When we talk about "natural" talent or abilities, we are talking their genetics. Nurture can be an obstacle to genetics, meaning a person can conform to nurture if need be, but genetics will ultimately take over.

I have voted for the Democratic Party years ago, but now they are far left and in loony town, whereas the Republican Party alone, is not much better. We have Trump to fix all of this. He is a 70's Democrat that won on the Republican ticket, but is not a politician and only cares to do what he believes is best for Americans (finally). When Trump is gone, it will most likely be back to picking the lesser of two evils, which right now would be the Republican Party unless you are in favor of Socialism, lies and deceit, then the Democratic Party as it stands to day is your ticket to misery.

  • Why didn't God allow farts to come out with a pleasant smell that is not so offending, offensive and even foul?

Best answer: It's based on "good" reasoning and a huge knowledge base where the concept of God becomes that of a square circle where I can actually know why both are impossible. Usually when people are upset with a religion, they change/convert to another religion that they feel is a closer fit to what they perceive a real God might be like. It's like buying a lemon of a car, you don't swear off of cars, you recognize certain makes and models as lemons or you realize you did not do you due diligence in checking out a problematic good car. Theists will be theists regardless of getting upset at a religion or denomination of a religion. My atheism is based on having a "natural" uncaused cause, which is energy itself, since it cannot be created, nor destroyed. Energy can only convert into other forms of energy, with no extra or no diminished return from the conversion. The other thing is the natural order of all existence, which is always from simple to complex over time. There is not one thing that naturally forms or is intelligently created by us humans that does not go through a series of simple steps over time to form/create the finished or more complex product. There is a reason that nature stops at our "natural" resources and will never form an automobile. We contrast our intelligence to nature which is void of intelligence. This contradiction to the natural order absolutely places the concept of God into the square circle category and is not possible. Combine this with the human ignorance found in all holy books and the irrational reasoning of theists, and it becomes clear why a case will never be made for Gods/Goddesses, the concept is magical because it cannot naturally occur.

This would also be true of magical fairies, should anyone dare to credit them for a life changing event. Sometimes parents are seen as heroes by their children.
