Best answer: The Holy Spirit is what brings you to belief... the Holy Spirit prompts people once they have heard the Gospel message of Christ.. Then that's where your freewill comes in, to accept or reject the message. The reasons I believe are many, first, I would say after I heard the message, and confessed my belief in Christ... Shortly after I purchased a Bible.. (KJV) large print,, still remember to this day.. I was 24 ... I started reading and started understanding, as if the scriptures were alive... and that is just what the bible says about them.. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Also when people came against my beliefs and said I was stupid for believing.... I looked further... I looked into how the bible was compiled... the history of and so on... so It wasn't just blind faith by following the prompt of the Holy Spirit... I did extensive research as well. to find that it all made sense and was true.
