Christians are expected to hate evil, but are not allowed to hate evildoers. They are beloved children of God, and God will not condone hatred of His children, no matter what they do.

Obviously they don't. The fact that every "prediction" they have made to date has failed to happen should be sufficient evidence.

  • Vicar of Christ?

"Vicar" means "representative". A vicar is always subject to the authority of the one he represents. Yes, the Pope is a sinner, since He is a human being. This isn't a "view". It is a fact. "Vicar" means "representative". A vicar is always subject to the authority of the one he represents. Yes, the Pope is a sinner, since He is a human being. This isn't a "view". It is a fact. No-one ever claimed otherwise. It is also a fact that Jesus Christ promised the first Pope "You are Rock, and upon this Rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it". The Pope is the principle unifying factor in Christianity, which is why those who follow his direction have remained one in belief, one in teaching, one in worship, one in biblical understanding for 2,000 years, while those who have defected from the one Church Jesus founded and the authority of the Pope, have fragmented into thousands of unauthorized conflicting manmade denominations teaching thousands of conflicting and therefore false beliefs, in just a few hundred years. Which sounds more like the stated will of Jesus Christ concerning His followers - "That they all may be ONE, even as I and My heavenly Father are ONE"?

  • Fellow Christians: what do you think of pastors and other believers who argue or disagree about Bible versions?

It is the inevitable result of defecting from the one Church Jesus Christ founded, to which He promised the fullness of truth. Bible versions is the least of what Protestant denominations argue about. They can't agree with one another on the meaning of a single biblical verse.

  • Christians: if evolution and Christianity are compatible, then how is one to interpret Romans 5:12?

The fundamentalist Protestant approach here is the same that has led to so many other misinterpretations of the Bible - literal interpretation of passages that were never meant to be taken literally. The Bible says that God brought the first humans into existence. It doesn't describe the method God used, or the time frame involved. Biological evolution answers those questions, based on vast evidence, without denying that God was the source. Therefore, there is no conflict between the two. Jesus Christ founded ONE Church, said it was to remain ONE, and promised that ONE Church the fullness of God's truth. Therefore it should be no surprise that the teaching of that ONE Church never conflicts with natural truths revealed by science. Truth cannot conflict with truth.

  • Christians: Is your God the same God as the Muslims' Allah? Muslims, is your Allah the same God as the Christians' God?

Yes, same God. Muslims accept one ordinary man's interpretations concerning God and His relationship to humans. Christians worship the same God, based on the teachings of God Himself, given to us by Jesus Christ, who clearly demonstrated that He was God, by constantly doing things only God could do. Mohammed didn't. Because he couldn't. show more

It has remained ONE in belief, ONE in teaching, ONE in worship, ONE in biblical understanding throughout the world for 2,000 years, just as Jesus intended. Protestantism is an unauthorized manmade system of thousands of conflicting denominations whose original founders defected from ("protested" against) the ONE Church Jesus Christ founded. They have fragmented into thousands of denominations in just a few hundred years, each one claiming to be teaching the truth because they got their material from "the Bible alone", yet the teaching of each denomination conflicting with the teaching of the others. Truth cannot conflict with truth, so obviously a tremendous amount of untruth is being taught in such churches.
