    Best answer: Open up a new blank image, size it so that it's the same width as your pics but 3 times deeper. Open your 3 pics, copy/paste each one in turn starting from the top into the blank image positioning one below the other into a picture strip, flatten the image, save and you're done.

    Basically it depends where on the lens the scratch is and how bad it is, a small superficial light scratch is unlikely to make any difference however a deeper larger scratch in the centre of the lens could cause problems.     Basically there is little quality difference between the 2 formats, either can produce quite large prints. The practical differences are that 6x6 has the advantage that it can be cropped either vertically or horizontally after the shot is taken, with 6x4.5 you need to decide whether it's going to be a vertical or horizontal shot before you take it. show more
