  • Why do people say teachers should carry guns? What if a teacher snaps and starts shooting students?

What's worse is that teaches can and probably WILL cause more casualties... they're not sharpshooters and will miss their targets, moreso than trained, experienced police personnel have been known and documented to have done (along with the many cover-ups, as have been exposed).

Call the Dept of Ed & local politicians AND the school board & voice a complaint but do try to remember that your inconvenience does not take precedence over the safety of children, even YOUR child/children. Perhaps the school personnel is also mindful of child abductions, too (strangers and/or divorced parents without legal parental rights). Perhaps your complaint can lead to a more practical, pragmatic, viable solution.

I would vote against it, and YOU indicated why. YOU stated, "The status quo is unacceptable and a significant portion of Americans are urging action... ...some form of action must be taken." Firearm ownership cannot and must not be eliminated. We have far too many RESPONSIBLE law-abiding firearm owners in America. The most prudent and viable thing to do is what the students/victims of the recent mass shooting are advocating for: increased, consistent, stricter and more effective background checks to filter out those with criminal backgrounds and a history of emotional/psychological disturbances easy access to firearms. HOWEVER, the NRA through LePieerre (lePiew), a puppet and lapdog for the firearm manufacturing industry, firearm sales industry that pay off crooked politicians in Congress to ignore their duties and responsibilities to American taxpayers and voters to work toward for best interests and safety of Americans; these demagogues betray our trust and live off of the public by quietly passing bills to entitled themselves with luxuries they're unwilling to tell us about. They are MORE interested in avarice, greed and self-enrichment than for human life or human safety or for the lives and safety of our school children. The refuse to act on our behalf, then let's vote them out of office! They've run out of excuses and NOW they want to talk about mental healthcare when they have been consistently, fanatically, historically, perniciously, systematically, tirelessly to defund healthcare, mental healthcare and education since Reagan was Gov of California, with every wealthy GOP President and GOP-dominated Congress??? I AM pro-firearm ownership... RESPONSIBLE firearm ownership.

Yes, but we don't DARE report the incident for fear of being made fun of, humiliated and teased by everyone else. In fact, other men will say, "You lucky dog!" And if a man complains, the men and women will say, "He must be Gay."

  • If you suspect someone might be contemplating a mass shooting what's the best way to alert law enforcement so they actually do something?

Best ways to report your concerns/fears of someone possibly contemplating a mass shooting would be to walk into a police precinct OR call the FBI and express your concerns and fears with detailed explanations, name and address of the suspected person... unless you're simply trolling for attention.

Of course, it depends on the individual's level of education, and knowledge of the sciences and his/her belief on said sciences accuracy, and that may be favorably or negatively influenced by the person degree of religious fanaticism, fervor or zeal. However, we must rely on the knowledge of others that specialize in other fields of endeavor WE are not too familiar with. My mother's pastor was fond of telling his less educated parishioners that men of science wanted to know more than God; we debated that issue and he walked away annoyed when ever his wife agreed with me. On another occasion about close to 29 years ago, he said, "God cures." And I said to him, "I don't think you really believe that... you and I were sitting in the waiting room of Dr (name withheld) last Thursday; why didn't you go to God to cure you, was God too busy?" He turned around and walked away... he didn't answer; I don't know why.
