are the conversations you have on it public like facebook? Apparently people do statuses like fb?
Or is it all private, just simply instant texting??

Its basically like MSN. Every blackberry has a unique pin and you can invite people to be in your contacts by sending an invite to thier pin number or they can invite you. Its all private. You have a display name, status/personal message and a display picture. You have a list of your friends/contacts and you can talk to them by just clicking their name..its like texting. You can make broadcast messages and send them to multiple people and you can make groups and invite your friends to it and have group conversations. So yeah like I said before its a lot like MSN but for blackberry users
