Booking a hotel for someone else under your name?

I have booked a few hotel rooms for me and my friend for a weekend trip away.
These are booked under my name, will we still be able to use these rooms for me and my friends, eg: me and a friend in one, another friend in another, two friends in another etc.. etc..
Are there any rights in case they won't allow this? thanks.

When you check in at the hotel, you and your friends are required to register at least one name under each room. Whether you'd be swapping rooms is up to you. The most important thing is the hotel would require credit card information for every room. You could put your card up for all rooms, or every room could be under a separate card. Whoever's card is used will be responsible for all expenses incurred for that specific room(s).
