Would I be able to go on Holiday with my mates at my current age now?

I am 16 next month and was wandering could i go on holiday with my mates (they are my age) and do you have to be at least 18 to stay in a hotel? And get a flight? UNITED KINGDOM by the way

Your best bet would be to go to a travel agancy and speak to an advisor who should be able to recommend a suitable package for you and your friends. As you are over 16 you should be OK, but any of your friends who are still 15 might have a problem. The travel agent should be able to check with the airlines, hotels and tour operators that you can travel and stay in a particular hotel. Have fun!

With airlines, it depends. Some allow it, some don't, and some will need to know the amount of unaccompanied minors traveling so they can arrange for a flight attendant to look after them.

Hotels are a different matter. A large number of them will not let a minor stay in their hotel without adult supervision, adult being classed as 18 or over. Some will even require you to be 21. Always check with the hotel in advance.

You are classed as a juvenile until you are 18. Hotels and B&Bs will not take unaccompanied minors in the UK.

there is no law against it as for the Hotel and Airline you are best to check with them as they all have their own rules on age
