What is the most hippy/bohemian city in England?

What city in England (or the british isles but preferably England) is the most bohemian? is it bristol?

Birmingham where I live has an area called Moseley, which has been a hippy and Bohemian area since the 60s. Whitby in North Yorkshire is known for its association with Bram Stoker, the author of the Dracula book. Because of this it is popular with Goths and Bohemian types, a great place thats well worth a visit.

I saw the question and immediately thought Brighton! However, don't forget the "smoke", London is pretty cool, but you need to pick the right part. Bristol is pretty funky and down in Cornwall, take a look at surf central - Newquay. If you fancy going north to Scotland then Edinburgh is totally cool, especially around festival time.

Totnes,Devon. it's a town not a city. Best ley lines in England and stuffed full of Hippies and people living alternative lifestyles.

Brighton is not a city, so is not an answer.
Personally I'd suggest Glasgow if you want the UK rather than England.
Exeter is also an option - and int a city in England
