Advantages and disadvantages to emigrating to Australia?

I am a Brit, who is currently considering emigrating to Canberra, Australia. What are the major advantages and disadvantages of living there?

Advantages are : Nice weather, really a comfortable lifestyle, BBQs, etc,

Disadvantages: further from your family/friends, Canberra has lots of flies,hot summers,lots of Australians, lot of poisonous animals.

I think it is a great idea.

Advantages. Standard of living, Old fashioned values, Good food, great standard of living, nice people, (but not politically correct in private).

Disadvantages. Crazy commie government which apologises for history but still treats "Abbos" as third class. Every animal is poisonous.
The government should change at the next election.

Advantages: better economy, better weather, more relaxed comfortable lifestyle. Canberra is a very affluent city.
Disadvantages: further from your family/friends, Canberra has lots of flies, stinking hot summers and cold winters by Oz standards.
