Where can I find a canal boat holiday in Amsterdam?

All I seem to find are hotel boats (where you hire just a cabin) and large boats for hosting wedding receptions and stuff.

I'm trying to find somewhere I can hire a small canal boat (2 berth) for a week, and also, any information on mooring charges in Amsterdam (or any other expenses for using a canal boat in Amsterdam)

You can moor a boat in the marina and catch the free ferry there to Centraal Station. To cruise in Amsterdam with a canal then you need a permit. However personally I wouldn't stick to just Amsterdam anyway as there are lots of beautiful areas where you can take the canal boat easily and see more of the Netherlands than just Amsterdam.

Here are some links (I can't recommend any personally as I've never done it)

... but if you google "canal boat holiday amsterdam" then many others come up as well and it's just a case of seeing what is on offer and what fits the bill in your opinion.

Good luck
