How do i get from buckingham palace to big ben without walking?

Question

Ok im not from london and don't really want to walk in the dark. Any Buses/Tubes to make it easier.

And can any1 tell me how much a child 3 day travel card is pleasE?

Taxis are not allowed to pick up around Buckingham Palace, so the only option is walk between the two.
It is an easy walk along Birdcage walk next to St James's Park (about half a mile). You will be walking from the Queen's London home, past an army barracks and near to the head quarters of London's police finishing up at the heart of Britain's Government. It is the safest part of London to be in.

How old is the child and when are you coming (fares go up in January) ?

The distance is really very small, but if you must get the Tube from St James's Park to Westminster.

Outside Buckingham Palace are usually some horses with guys with big black hats. I'm sure that one of them would give you a ride if its on his way home.

There is no public transport serving Buckingham Palace as such. The nearest Tube station is at Green Park. The walk from Buckingham Palace to Whitehall is only about half a mile along Birdcage Walk, which brings you right out into Parliament Square and you'll be facing Big Ben. You have nothing to fear even at night. This is a high security area, lots of police etc.

No buses are permitted at the front of Buckingham Palace, nor are taxis permitted to pick up or set down. So you have to walk a little bit to Victoria, St James Park, Green Park tube and then its 1 or 2 stops to Westminster for Big Ben

Bite the bullet and walk. The trip to the bus stops are not far and a lot of decent people walk in London, it's really not that scary.

Children under 16 can buy a one day pass without the need for a photocard: zone 1-2 one day travel card currently costs between £3- 6, this gets you on trains & tube (underground). Buy at a tube station, they may ask of proof of age.

Buck house ( the palace to you) can be reached from Green Park tube station, or Victoria Station or by bus from pall Mall and Birdcage Walk.

Make sure you bring a good map with you as a lot of tourist maps miss out the details of some of our smaller roads.
