Going to Times square for New Years?

Question

Im going to times square for new years and I am looking for a hotel to stay in possibly around newark. One that is around $150 or less. What would be the best thing to do? stay at a hotel in newark and take the rail to the city, or are there any better or closer hotels to stay at that i could take a rail directly into the city?

A good bet would be to look down along the PATH's route, and try to find a hotel somewhere near there. I know the same train that goes through Newark goes through Harrison, which is not as big of an area, and thus might be more affordable.

The only hotel that I know is located in Downtown Newark, near Newark Penn Station. Its call the Hilton Newark Penn Station and rooms there start at about $95.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
