Does Sri Lankan passport holder need transit visa to fly through Bahrain?

Hi,I'm a Sri Lankan passport holder with residence permit in Latvia(student shengen visa). I am flying to Sri Lanka via Bahrain. I want to know if i require a transit visa or i don't need any as i only have a transit of 2 hrs and its just a connecting flight. Please be kind to help me out. Thanx

If its just a transit then you are fine. You do not need any visa as long as you are not leaving the airport. Once you are out of the aircraft, you will need to go to the transit area and wait for your connecting flight.

    As long as you have a through booked ticket and your luggage is through booked you are "in transit" and therefore do not need a visa to enter Bahrain as the transit route and lounge is not technically Bahrain but a sterile non state area.
    you should be given 2 boarding passes when you start your first flight but sometimes you have to get your 2nd card in the transit area.
    The most important thing is that your luggage is through booked, otherwise you would have to leave the transit area and "enter Bahrain" after claiming your luggage.

    You don't need a transit visa if you're not entering the country, especially as you'll have your luggage checked in. You'll just follow the signs to the transfer section and they'll direct you from there.
