About moving to america?

I'm a US citizen who grew up in the UK, but now I'm 18 I want to move back to the US.
I have a friend in Florida who will give me somewhere to stay for a month or two until I can get a job and get my own place... but what I want to know is;

How much is it going to cost me to rent a 1-bedroom apartment in the Orlando area of Florida?
How much can I earn per month working full-time in a job like a waitress or in a shop?

You cannot make enough as a waitress or in a retail shop to live by yourself. You will have to find someone to share a place.

Also note that the job market in the US is very, very bad right now and it may tale you 6 months or more to find a job. You should have $10,000 on hand to move to any place in the US.
