anybody know of dublin city jobs handing out promotion flyers for club nights? internet searching is of no help

Handing out flyers in Dublin city is illegal, due to the anti litter laws. All the flyer distribution is handled by established proper leaflet distribution companies and must be delivered directly into hall doors and letter boxes. It's known as unsolicited mail.
It appears to be wrapped up by a few companies in Dublin, who use mostly student and immigrant labour.
The practice of using PR girls/ boys to hand out leaflets out side the doors of pubs, like in the Spanish holiday resorts, is unknown.

They don't really do that in Dublin. But sometimes in the local bars they leave concession cards on the bar.
