Playa de las Americas although it has near countless bars all over the huge resort, has a quite compact centre as far as the main bars and night clubs are concerned.
The two main places for bars and clubs are across the road from each other and are named after the commerical centres they are in, Veronicas and Starco. If you're hotel is not close to them any taxi driver will immediately know where you mean if you just say in your finest Spanish accent "Starco, por favor!"
Veronicas is a strip of road about 200 metres long with four buildings on it which are packed with bars on basement, ground and first floor level. Just over the road is Starco (which I prefer) and that is a single large building with numerous bars and clubs peppered all over it. Arguebley the most popular and definitely the largest night club in the centre of town, Tramps, is at Starco and during the main summer months will host big name DJ's on many days throughout the week.
