Do hotels allow double rooms for 1 adult and 1 child?

my boyfriend is 18 and i am 15 and we want to go to a hotel, will they allow us to have a double room or not?

yea when i was with my grandfather at the waldorf, he was in a double room with me ;) they would even let you share a room if you wanted (and if your parents let you of course)

The answer varies with motels, I'm afraid. I know the motel that I stay at periodically doesn't allow anyone to have a double room without at least one parent in the room with them. It's a liability and a safety issue for all guests, not just you and your boyfriend, and for the hotel staff as well. It's nothing personal against you and your boyfriend...
