    Depends - it I just visited for holidays, then somewhere on either Curacao or Pacific coast of Costa Rica. If I had to live there, Cuitadella on Menorca or near Kyrenia, Occupied Cyprus.

    Yuksom @ 5800 ft. or 1768 m.

    Its in West Sikkim, Sikkim, India

    I have been to this small hamlet several times in the last 8 years; every time for a trek to Dzongri (13,200 ft. or 4025 m.) , Goecha La (16,400 ft. or 5,000 m.) or Mt. Kanchandzongha base camp.

    This hamlet is in a small green lush valley full of wild orchid surrounded by snow capped mountains. A few hours away is the beautiful Kanchandzongha national park.

    Whenever you see up in the blue sky, you just cannot miss the jaw dropping majestic
    Mt. Kanchandzongha (28,169 ft or 8,586 m.), the 3rd highest peak of the world.

    At the start and the end of the treks, I stay at the Trekker's Hut. and dine at Raju's. Though Raju's is only a shack, but their hospitality and their dining service will put any star hotel at shame.

    Every time of the day is fantastic. You wake up with morning tea / coffee made with local Yak milk and tsampa, Yak Cheese.

    Everyday it rains from evening till morning. and the sound of it, simply gives a good feeling.

    Sikkim is the largest alcohol drink producing state in India. Danceberg, a local beer, comes cheap, only Rs. 16 (30 cents) for each bottle.

    Life is easy. Play football in the after with the local kids.

    and just soak in the local aura.

    given a chance my next two paradises will be Dzongri and top of the Mt. Sandakphu (11,930 ft or 3636 m.), the highest peak of West Bengal, India

    Source(s):

    Kanchandzongha (sikkim) is also spelled as Kangchenjunga (rest).

    Also, Sandakfu or Sandakphu
