How many cigarettes is it legal to bring in to the uk from south east asia?

going on holiday and dont want to bring over the legal limit.

From outside the EU, passengers over the age of 17 may bring in the following, which must all be for personal use (not for sale):

* 200 cigarettes, 100 cigarillos, 50 cigars, or 250g of tobacco
* 2 litres of still table wine
* 1 litre of spirits or strong liqueurs over 22% volume or 2 litres of fortified wine, sparkling wine or other liqueurs
* 60ml of perfume
* 250ml of toilet water
* £145 worth of all other goods including gifts and souvenir

one pack of 200 ciggies....that's it. if you are coming into the UK from Asia....be warned....it's not like the olden days with one customs officer on duty....there are LOADS of customs officers....so bringing in extra is not worth it...trust me!!

If you buy duty free 200

If you buy duty paid in departure country and get a receipt to prove you have paid the duty there you can bring in 3,200/person but it must be a proper commercial receipt with printed suppliers name etc, not a handwritten stub for example that you could have made up yourself!
