Is English widely spoken on Malta?

If not is the Maltese language tough to learn ?

I would say that the majority of people speak English and some even better than the English themselves. It would probably be the very old who would not speak a good standard of English. English is Malta's second language earlier it was Italian. Maltese contains a lot of Arabic words though written in the latin script. I think its easy to learn but then I am Maltese .

English Is spoken almost everywhere. So yeah probs in Malta in like big city's and main towns but in the rural parts like small villages probs not :)

yes it is...everybody speaks English there so you won't have any communication problems.

if you are going...make sure you go and see Mosta Dome....that's the very beautiful church where the bomb dropped through the roof in the 2nd world war...onto a packed congregation and did not explode!! nobody was hurt - amazing and an amazing church!! lol...just thought i would add that!! happy holidays!!

English is our second language and most of the people know to talk in english. And yes, maltese is pretty hard to learn
