Is it ok for a Thai national with a Thai passport to enter Thailand with only 5 months left on their passport.?

My Thai wife is going to Thailand in April 2010 but her passport expires in September 2010 leaving only 5 months remaining. Will she be allowed entry into Thailand so she can renew her passport.

A Thai national can enter Thailand with expired passport, or even no passport at all. If a Thai person lost passport, stolen, completely expires, he or she can visit the Thai Embassy, Consular, Consular-general, Honorary Consular, and have the passport renewed, or ask them to issue Certificate of Identity, and return to Thailand.
