the Railway museum next to the station is probably your best bet - or the pub.

Well I am quite local so could come and be nice to you - cup of tea sound good?

But honesly, Crewe is a bit of a dump. If you are going to be at the station waiting for a train, take a book or mp3 player there is nothing worthwhile within reach apart from a few shops.

Find the road out. it's an awful dump almost as bad as Stoke on Trent

There's a big B&Q just over the roundabout by the railway tracks..... and some pubs and chippies on Nantwich Road (actually come to think of it there's a couple of Thai restaurants there now) or Dominos Pizza....

While the railway museum is practically just over the tracks from the station platform, to actually get to the entrance involves travelling the better part of a mile, and the opening hours are a bit restricted, particularly in winter.

You could always try a bit of train spotting, I suppose, though there's not much variety these days! :)
