I need the cheapest way to get to liverpool and back?

hi guys, i need to go to liverpool from newcastle in about a weeks time, i shall be staying there about 3 days and not having much money really need help to find the cheapest way of doing the trip. Please help, thanks guys

National Express. I use them all over the country.
Dead reliable, set your watch by them. Never a single problem in over 20 years of using them.
I get into Liverpool quite often. Great place. The bus station is in Norton Streert, five minutes walk from Lime street station and a couple of minutes more to the shopping areas...St John's Market, Clayton Square, etc....a few minutes more to the new Liverpool 1 area.
