£1000 uk pounds is enough
budget for what you want and do in your home city Bangkok and Thailand are not that cheap in reality YOu will do more than you think and taxis and getting around can take easily £10 to £15 per day as you will use them as you dont know where to go and how to get around
ALWAYS ask taxi to put the meter on if they sont then get back out theres a thousand other taxis and when you set off just check the metrs running An average tri pis about 70 baht to 100 baht 400 from Bangkok airport to centre so use that as a guideline ok Traffics busy between 12 and 8 30 pm whereever you are stay there until then eat out and go back your hotel after 9pm OR stay close by and go out late Thailand is a night living place Daytime is busy and night time is when families come out and people shopping etc
thats only Bangkok anywhere else will be quieter
from Bangkok go to Huahin for a few days 5 is enough Pataya is a day trip go early and back at night if you want a quick blast of sea air Or stay over night its enough
have fun I am jealous Oh and go to Central World in Bngkok for New Years ok they have a huge clelbration and show and most people go there to ring in the new year
I am jealoussssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss… : ((((((((

My friend, how long is a piece of string, one mans meat is another mans poison, it all depends on what you like, like, you dine in fine restaurants, that costs money, you like to see the shows, again, that costs, if your anything like me, a man and wife with modest incomes, we took £ 500 and came back with about £ 200, obviously we could have spent more, but there again, i always carry my credit card in case i need it.
I hope you really enjoy yourselves.

Don't worry, the hookers are really cheap. Prostitution is what makes Thailand famous.

meals can be had quite reasonably, walking the streets is entertaining and there are relatively reasonable day tours that you can take - sounds like you will mostly be in tourist areas, but I would guess you colud have a full and exciting day on 100 pounds sterling - for two - give or take as you want luxury or booze - or not.

A nice relaxing foot massage can be had for a couple of quid or so - enjoy -

    I am a 22 year old male. I visit Thailand 2-3 times a year.

Each visit, I spend about $1939.59 Pounds ($3500 AUD) I go out each night, spend alot on drinks, girls, waste a lot on shopping!

it depends what you intend to do for your holiday though. If you would like to eat in real thai restaurants, go to the local attractions like the big buddah, ride the sky train, go shooting or go karting, go to the beach then it should be a very cheap holiday!

When you bring girls, drinking into it, it can be expensive if you are not careful!

When shopping remember to barter! They will go for western price's at first!
Check out Phuket Deals if you need more, I get alot from there as you can contact the site owner.

£1200 - £2000 each would be a very comfortable amount to live on out there for a 2 week holiday. That would enable you to go on excursions/trips, shopping, eating in good restaurants, drinks, souvenirs and other bits and pieces. In Thailand things can be done really cheap if necessary; you could still have a great time on £500 - £1000 each, but it all depends on what you what to do and what kind of lifestyle you want to have.

About £100 a day if you really want to have a good time. This includes beer, food and renting bikes etc. I have been to Thailand many times and average £3000 per month and have loved every minute. If you're going for 2 weeks spoil yourselves and indulge in the splendour of Thailand. A holiday is not a holiday if you budget yourselves.

It depends where you are going - if you are going to Phuket, then everything there is expensive from food to Taxis so i would say 3000 Baht a day and trips are about 2000 baht each.
I spend about 3000-5000 Baht a day when I go to Thailand but thats for me and GF.

$100AUD - $150AUD per day would be perfect (40-65 pounds)
