I live in the Philippines and so I am more comfortable here. But that is not to say thet the Philippines is any better than Thailand.

If you post this in Thailand, you will get "Thailand is better" as answers.

Having said that, and having been to most of Thailand several times, I declare a tie in terms of natural beauty of the islands, the beaches, and even the countryside setting.

In terms of food, Thailand, is a bit ahead, their dishes are more exotic to Western travelers than ours.

In terms of hospitality, nothing beats Filipinos. We also speak better English, and even the unwashed and the unschooled can understand simple English. You will get by easily in the Philippines.

If we talk about nightlife, it is again a tie. But if we talk about the seamy side of town, the red light district, Thailand beats the Philippines hands down.

In the final analysis, one will be better than the other depending on what you want and expect.

Why do you wanna know which is a better country? Both are good countries, they both have their ups and downs.

It's not exactly a smart move to ask this in this section, because opinions would most likely be biased.

Posting this in the "Philippines" section will obviously give you a biased answer. It`s all a matter of personal opinion, honestly. As for my personal opinion, I think that the Philippines is better.
