Average wage is about 320 € it is low bot so are the prices. There is a lot of poverty, we have incompentent politicians and 40 years of harsh communism bankrupted the country. Most of the Romanian citizens abroad are gypsies (i'm not a racist but here are big problems integrating them into society)

ahh I remember the communist era, good jobs, no crime, great public morale and an army that can kick the *** of all the western European countries by ourselves. No corruption, you just couldn't say anything against Ceausescu and his regime, but then the dreadful 1989 revolution came along and brought "Democracy" if I can even call it that, all of those things that I mentioned above became REAL BIG problems, inflation rose up drastically, and gypsies and crime became a problem, they are still around, poverty isnt a problem, yes wages are lower but remember that there are no income taxes, and all consumer products cost less, and just about every 1 has a job, the sturdy infrastructure has withstood almost unchanged since it was built by the communist regime. look at Brazil for example, their average wage is something like $500 and no 1 says they are poor, things here in the US are overpriced, and there are taxes upon taxes.

    Man I miss Ceausescu.....

It also seems as if most Americans live inside the bubbles of their communities and don't really know whats going on outside the US, only trough media, which can be exaggerated and falsified.
