Am going to Sharm El Sheik for Christmas, any tips for local facilities please?.?

My wife and I are going to Egypt for Christmas. This is our first time to visit this country although we have been to Muslim countries for Christmas in the past. Are there any suggestions as to where to eat, what trips to go on, where to exchange currency, what to avoid etc. As this is our first time, any helpful advice would be much appreciated including useful web sites to look at. Thanks in anticipation
Freddie.

Hello

i am working as Holiday Rep in Sharm and mainly looking after British Holidaymakers ,

Sharm El-Sheikh is one of the most amazing holiday destination you can go to and i am not saying that because i am Egyptian but it is fact , lovely weather , nice people , and very nice Sea with clear water and lots of fish

Down in the town " Naama Bay " where is all the restaurants , night clubs, shops .. etc it is safe just you might get the hassle from the shop keepers , it is fine just walk away and no worries they are not dangerous

also you will need to haggle in all the shops around the town it is about 40% less than the price they will start with

Take jumper with you as it will be cold at the evening , Still nothing to do with back home but it gets colder at the evening

Best time for you to go out after 6 PM and night life till 5 am and shops till 1 am and also it is very safe to catch taxi at any time , just again haggle and make your deal first

all hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh will held Christmas party and nice meal especially if you are going to 4 or 5 stars hotel ,

but if you would like to go out i will recommend Little Buddha as they do nice parties over there

regarding tours and excursions i will sure recommend the bellow website in the source as they are one of the TOP handling agents in Egypt and they do quite lots of trips and also you can book ahead before leaving home and have every thing organized

I no longer live in the Middle East but I consider Sharm to be one of the best holiday locations on earth.

I want there many times and would go back tomorrow if it was possible.

If you are into diving ( I am) the diving and the scenery is just fabulous.

There are plenty of hotels from the very basic to the most expensive and all can offer day trips at very reasonable cost.

You just need to Google "Sharm el Sheik" and you will get plenty of tourist opportunities.

Enjoy your stay. I would love to be there.

Freddie Q, what a great way to spend the holidays! Sharm El Sheik is perfect for a warm winter getaway! You surely will not be bored as Sharm has much to offer in terms of activities including diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, horse and camel riding, and even desert safaris. TripAdvisor is a great reference for reviews of the area. Have a great time in Egypt!
