I have 1 week to visit a country in south america. I want beaches, english, culture, cheap... Any suggestions?

Go to Punta Del Este Uruguay.

It's a fairly educated Spanish speaking country, and I had no problem speaking English there (I don't speak Spanish). This is the beach that all of the rich Argentinians go to. The city speaks English fairly well, and it's the cleanest and most modern country I've been to in South America.

The best part about going here, is it's only an hour long flight from Buenos Aires. So you can spend a couple of days there seeing the Paris of South America.

Another option... If you're not from the USA is Cuba. Fantastic beaches, and although it's not in South America, a good portion of it's residents are ex-South American so the culture is alive and kicking. Add to that the fact that they all learn two languages in school... so they all speak Spanish, and most of them speak English as well (some speak Russian still).

maybe Ecuador or Colombia.

Maybe Mancora in north Peru or Puerto Lopez on the coast of Ecuador, otherwise maybe Santa Marta in Colombia or Brazil.

Your not going to find any english culture latin america isnt spain! lol plus why would you want to go that far and want english culture? i'd suggest you didnt go into deep south america if your still looking for some '' english features '' maybe Argentina or Chile I'm from Colombia but I wouldnt say there was any english culture there not from where i'm from anyway does Puerto Rico or the Dominican count at all? I know they arnt south america but if they do Dominican Republic have english speaking resorts... Brazil is a popular destination im sure like Dominican and Puerto Rico they have english speaking resorts too try there
