I have 2-3 months to travel/volunteer abroad - where should i go? Any recommended voluntary organisations?

Ive already travelled Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia - i would like to do some volunteering with kids somewhere, want to stay in Asia but not back to where ive been. I was thinking Sri Lanka (but this might be a bit dangerous?) or the Phillipines for a bit, then see a bit of India and on to Nepal by March next yr (so spring time there). Does this sound like a logical plan??? I also dont want to pay through the nose for volunteering, does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives? I would like to have my voluntary work organised before i go. Im single female traveller.

Well Sri Lanka is no longer dangerous country any more, the civil war is over for six months now. Living terror free since then. And things are returning back to normal, slowly but surely. May be Sri Lanka can use your generous services this time around..:) And its closer to India from SL as well.

I reckon Philippines would be more dangerous, cause the rebels there are creating a bit of mayhem there (okay more than a bit..:-s). Heard on the news about a hostage takeover and some tense fighting in Philippines. http://www.france24.com/en/20091123-twen…

Well in the end its all up to you i guess...:)
