I'm going to Berlin sightseeing this weekend.Should I wear a Wool coat (neater) or ski/rain jacket (touristy)?

Do I wear a wool coat and look neater/smarter or a ski/rain jacket, which will make me look like an old tourist, but I am also guaranteed to stay dry?

What makes you think that a ski jacket will make you look like a tourist?
Many German people are rather sensible and will wear ski jackets as well.

If it is going to be as windy in Berlin this weekend as it is here now, (likely,) only a ski jacket will keep you warm.
Rain on top of that would soak you to the skin in a wool coat.

I live in the Netherlands, and it is rather windy here now, and often Berlin has the same weather, if not always.

A ski jacket doesn't necessarily mean touristy - depends if you have a backpack too!!!

If the weather forecast is rain then I would settle on keeping dry rather than looking smart! A wool coat, if wet, may take ages to dry and I am sure you don't want to be carrying an umbrella around all the time!

i thing is better to wear your warmer jacket and take with you a ski/rain jacket.
