Speesboat - Cannes Area, France ?

Question

I am going to cannes, france on holiday next year and was wondering if anyone knows where you can rent out speedboats ? Also do you need a license to drive one of these ? Any details woudl be greatly appreciated !! :)

Unfortunately I cannot give you any recommendations as to where to hire a speedboat. However I can give you some advice as to the requirements for hiring the same, hopefully the requirements are the same as here in Brittany:

1: Most rental companies will want to know that you have the capability and the expertise to handle the craft Possibly asking you to take a small test.
2: That you have the necessary insurance or be willing to pay the premium for said insurance for the duration of the hire
3: That you are of an age to meet their requirements.
