What is a good, cheap airline from Glasgow to Birmingham?

I am trying to figure out if I want to take a train or fly from Glasgow to Birmingham in early March. What is my best option and is there a cheap alternate? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Flybe will take you direct from Glasgow International to Birmingham International for as little as £30.

Ryanair or bmibaby can't remember which, a train is around £89 single but if you book it weeks in advanced you normally get it around £19 Single, if all else fails, national express

There is a direct train service from Glasgow Central to Birmingham New Street every hour and it takes 4 hours city centre to city centre. This compares favourably in time to flying if you add on
travelling to the airport, check in time etc to the flight time. There should be some good cheap fares available if you book well in advance; the booking period for early March should start in about 2 weeks www.virgintrains.co.uk An annual railcard will give you a 34% discount whether you book in advance or not www.railcard.co.uk
