Im thinking of traveling from Venice, Italy to Patras, Greece on an Anek ferry. I need advice?

I want to purchase a ticket and the deck option seems to be the cheapest. THe way there is on Anek and the way back i have the option of superfast and bluestar. Is it to terrilbe to only buy a deck ticket even though its a long trip? Do you have a guesstimate of how long the trip is? THANKS!!! :]

The trip is quite long, 33-39 hours. Many people when travelling with these boats always get a cabin shared with other passengers. You have the option to book a sole bed or a seat, which is more cheap. If you travel during winter I would suggest staying inside the boat...
Check the site of greek ferries. You may find more info. http://www.ferries.gr/booking/
