What are the laws for two people of different families, one 16 and on 14 staying in the same room in france?

my girlfriends family were planning on going on a holiday to France and taking me (16) and their daughter (14), can we both stay in the same hotel bedroom?

in response to 'wenona', i googled it but there wasn't anything very specific, my girlfriends family is worried that it's against the law

There is no law about who is sharing a room, whatever their age, and you could legally share a bedroom, just as you could share a tent if you were camping. However it would be safer from everyone's point of view and peace of mind to take two twin bedded rooms and for your girlfriend's father and you to share one room, and she and her mother to share the other.
