no. there is so lttle money there that tourism is the only way of getting money to the majority of locals.

Yes Gambia is being exploited.

I note that the Gambia comes 106 out on 180 countries listed in the Transparency. Intl. corruption index, so it seems that the exploitation is internal.

It is so sad to see our old colonies listed as so corrupt. It cannot be Britain's fault as they only come 15th on the list.
