Where is a good place to party for New Years in Bangkok?

Just about all the entertainment areas and bars will have New Year celebrations. If you're a single guy, try the Nana/Sukhumvit area, Soi Cowboy or Patpong. Otherwise, Royal City Avenue (RCA), the Hollywood Disco and the area around Soi 4 and Soi 8 on Rathchadaphisik gets pretty wild. Many hotels and nightclubs have big gala New Year's parties too. As Sandee suggested, the area in front of the Central World Plaza Mall has a "Times Square" type of celebration with a big ball drop and countdown. There's lot's of choices, have fun.
