Attention people who live or have lived in Italy?

Question

My grandad was born in italy and when he was 30 he moved to the UK. I live in the UK will it be easier for me to get italian citezenship
and where in italy is nice to live

Where was your grandad from? Every region has it's roots and traditions. A nice place to live in Italy depends on you.The beauty of Italy is it's diversity but some people want to make it conform to northern european ethics so there is political pressure to change the Italian culture. If your British like me I suggest you stick with it because the future in Italy may become like the past.

Non so se il fatto che tuo nonno sia italiano ti agevoli nell'ottenere la cittadinanza..anzi non credo proprio...
L'Italia è tutta bella! I live in the north of Italy..in Mantova..I would like to live in a country on the sea...or the lake of garda...le città sono tutte belle! in the north of Italy there are more possibility to find a work...Milan is a beautiful city but there is more traffic...it is more caotic..

Io ti consiglio di venire ad abitare al nord...magari a Sirmione, Peschiera, Desenzano (cities on the lake of garda), or Trento, Genova..

oppure nell'Italia centrale! For example in toscana e nelle marche..che poi cè anche il mare!

Just about anywhere here is a nice place to live. I particularly like Emilia Romagna where I live. There are very good connections for getting out and exploring the rest of Italy and further in Europe.

If you're an EU national, you don't need Italian citizenship to live in Italy.

However, if you can prove your grandfather's place of birth, your best bet would be to contact the Italian Embassy in the UK and ask them.

It wouldn't be easier. You have to live in Italy for 5 years to ask for an italian citizenship.
But for which reason? You can live there if you want.
But first got to Italy for holidays to see the nice places. And without italian language you will not have a good chance for work.
