Need help quick! travel and hotel advice sheffield?

Question

me and my boyfriend have tickets to go see radio 1 xtra live in sheffield but we live in leicester and need to get there and back and stay then night for as cheap as possible!
Any suggestions im really looking forward to this as i have been in hospital for past 2 weeks and just want to have fun really :) any suggestions ... ?? thanks x

There are two budget hotels near the Arena: the Etap Sheffield Arena and Premier Inn Sheffield Arena. Go directly to their websites for the best rates.

Alternatively there are some cheap hotels in the city centre that you'll be able to reach directly by tram from the Arena (it has it's own tram stop outside). In the city centre, close to the Castle Square and Ponds Forge tram stops, is an Ibis, Premier Inn Central Sheffield and a Park Inn. laterooms.com may be a good place to compare these.

If you don't mind a bit of back and forth, the Harley Hotel is above the Harley Bar in central Sheffield. I remember it always used to have quite cheap rooms because it's above a bar and a bit noisier. You can get there directly from the Arena by taking a tram to University.

There is an hourly train service from Leicester to Sheffield and the journey takes about 65 minutes
