Thomson holidays do child prices up to the age of 19. If you went for a week next October and stayed on International Drive it could cost £508 per person (from London).
Thomsons have deal for 9th December this year from London for 14 nights at Quality Inn International for £430 pp.
I stayed there last month, good motel style accommodation 30 minute walk away from Universal (or $8 in a taxi).
I originally booked a cheap deal through Jetsave but it was 2 stops each way and they kept changing the flights until it became 20hr trip each way and I decided to cancel. I then booked with Thomson holidays which was a direct flight and I would definitely go back with them again.
I have noticed the best deals tend to be Nov - early December but then the temperature is down a bit though still warm.
I like to go in October when the weather is good and the parks are much quieter, I don't like waiting an hour for a ride.
If you are planning to get flights and hotels separately you could try priceline.com which does competitive deals on hotels.
I stayed at Travel Lodge (American Way, just off International Drive)) one year which was cheap at $50 per night including breakfast for a room sleeping up to 4. It was basic but only 20 minute walk from Universal Orlando so good for budget holiday.
