Hi all! I'm form Argentina and I'm planning a trip of two months to London. I'll be arriving there the 24th of January.
As I do not have any friends or contacts there, could you give me a lost of places to visit, where to eat, stay -I kinda have this figured out, but still-, etc.

Since travel will be initially difficult, try hotels and tourist information offices for such information. There will be transportation included in the tour. There are many many companies catering to tourists. Check online in advance.

Magna Carta at Salisbury Church, Stonehenge, St. Paul's Cathedral, Harrods Dept Store, day trips to Paris, Shakespeare's home, The Eye in London, Buckingham Palace(open in August for tours when the Queen is gone), Windsor Castle, The Tower of London.

    Hola y bienvenidos!

London has plenty of things to do and see - as I'm sure you know. In terms of hotels, try http://www.lastminute.com for good hotel rates. London can be expensive - areas to try for cheaper hotels that are still central include Paddington and Bayswater. I've sometimes had some luck around Victoria Station as well.

In terms of eating out and what's on, check out London's Time Out Guide:

    http://www.timeout.com/london/

    For transport information, you'll need:

    http://www.tfl.gov.uk/

As for a list of things to visit - here's how I'd get started:

    Big Ben & Westminster

    Tower of London

    Buckingham Palace

    Greenwich

    St Paul's

    Covent Garden

    Hyde Park

    Piccadilly Circus

    ..........................

Then simple day trips from London you can try:

    Brighton - http://www.cheap-weekend-breaks.com/brighton-breaks
    Bath - http://www.cheap-weekend-breaks.com/a-cheap-weekend-in-bath
    Cambridge
    Oxford

    ............

After that - if you have two months then the whole of the UK and most of Europe can easily be reached from London. Have fun & Buen Viaje!
