I have heard that lots of Bavarians want to make Bavaria independent from Germany,is that true?

Oh, yes, that's a very old story. It will never come true. In fact, Bavaria is the only country inside Germany which marks its border with boundary stones. But even they have become rather old now. Bavarian "separatists" will never be able to redeem their promise, because they have a certain problem: They can't become a majority. The real Bavaria is not even half as big as it looks on a map. The Franks in the northern half of the country as well as the Swabians in its western regions know that small, but important fact very well. Bavaria would risk to go to pieces if it would seriously try to separate from Germany.
