Vegetarian Options in British Markets/Grocery Stores?

Question

Hi, I am a Vegetarian from California and this summer I will be working on a British Garrison in Germany. I know that on the Garrisons I will have access to the PX (kind of like a market/grocery store), but have been told that they carry mostly food brands from England. I am looking for good faux-meat options and other vegetarian brands I can buy (something like a UK Amy's Kitchen?). Are there Boca Burgers and Morning Star Farms products in UK Grocery Stores?

We have so much veggie food here that we are spoilt for choice.

It's hard for us to know exactly what the PX will be selling but doubtful that it would be our own supermarket brands....though you never know.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions and links! I was worried about life on a British Garrison in Germany...I heard that both cultures were really meat and potatoes-based. I'm not worried anymore--I am SURE I will find something!!

Keep an eye out for Quorn, this will probably be your main source of fake meat. They do ranges from fake mince, chicken pieces, sausages, burgers to whole fake chicken breasts etc.

No luck on the Boca Bugers or Morning Star. Quron, Tesco, Linda McCartney,sainsbury all have their own brands and lots of selections.

You will have to get used to British and German brands.
Most US food products are not usually found outside the US. also vegetarians prefer their food to be grown locally if possible.

Germany is full of wholefood, healthfood and veggy options. You just have to ask.

The main ones to look out for are Quorn (who make fungi based meat substitute) and Cauldron (who make veggie burgers / sausages etc.)
