Good locations when travelling Phillippines?

Hi, I am going to travel Philippines with my gf. I want to stay a few weeks in each place then move on.
What places would you recommend visiting?
How long do you reckon we could stay there with 1,000,000 pesos?

If you stay in high-end accommodations and dine in good restaurants, you will spend on average P14,500 per day. That means you can spend 68 days in the Philippines.

The travel expenses (plane/boat fare, car/taxi hires, other modes of transport will shorten this trip, depending on how far you go.

If you stay 2 weeks in each place (you said "few weeks"), then you will be able to cover 5 different places.

Bottomline, I guess your budget is good for 3 months of high-to-mid-end travel.

As to places, google the following and see which places will interest you:

1. Boracay
2. Batanes
3. Puerto Princesa, Palawan
4. Coron, Palawan
5. Bohol
6. Cebu (stay at Shangrila or Plantation Bay)
7. Davao (stay at the Pearl Farm)
8. Ilocos Norte (stay at Fort Ilocandia, and at Saud Beach in Pagudpud)
9. Subic (stay at Segara Villas, or Lighthouse)
10. Camiguin, and trek around the island, hiking 36 kms from start to finish).

Been to all these places several times. Travel is my one great passion.

Thanks though 1000,000 divided by 14500 is 680 so over two years of high end living. Sweet :)

With a million pesos, you could both enjoy an excellent Philippine vacation high-end style. With that much money to play with, you could practically enjoy the best that the ilsands could offer. Time constraint would be your only problem as there are so much to see, feast your eyes on.

That said, I strongly suggest you take a fraction of about $30.00 from your budget and purchase the latest paperback print of Lonely Planet:Philippines. This will be your travel bible and will gove you all tips, suggestions, itineraries, name it...it's all there!

    Enjoy!

With that amount of money you could stay for a few years and still live very well. This of course depends on what you want to do and where you go.
I travel there a few times a year from Australia,it is cheaper for me to vacation in Manila than it is to stay here at home or a local resort.
Try to get out of the main cities and you will find your money goes a long way.If you want to you can live like a King and have a ball within 6 months.
