If you do get all the above questions answerer to your satisfaction, make sure they send you a contract, application for a work permit, and all the paperwork necessary for you to obtain a Z Visa BEFORE you go. If they tell you to come on a tourist visa and they will later change it to a work visa, do not go. Only scammers will do that.

From the link you later provided, it appears this is not an employer but instead a recruiting company. That is why they cannot give you specifics. If you send your info they will try to place you with a school or private language center, Your compensation of UP TO 900 POUNDS will likely be much less, and will be determined by the school, not the recruiting company. You might be able to find that salary at an international school but they would require a certified teaching credential from your home country (not just a simple TESOL or similar).

Nearly all schools will require a degree. A recruiter may be able to find you a job without one, but that will normally be difficult, and should pay much less than what a teacher with a degree would receive.

What is the name of the company?

How did you hear about the company and why did you contact them?

Who did you interview with? How could you interview if you don't speak Chinese?

What is the job and how does your background match it?

The pay is 900 what? Dollars? Yuan? Euros? Seashells?

You completely left out all of the important details.

For you outsider seeking job in glorious China warning our glorious China is not a brothel. We like glorious Chinese women but not prostitution. Women are good for kitchen utilization and children bearing but modern time women do much more now. In the glorious Chinese past women work beside men on farm, while carry children on back to feed milk when children go hungry. They are appreciated because women work longer hours than men. They must wake earlier than men to cook breakfast before sunrise, and must do housekeeping work in addition to assisting men in their work. Glorious Chinese women are not the purpose you outsiders come to China. It is illegal to keep a brothel or conduct prostitution in glorious China land. Girls from Russia or Europe with golden hair colour is preferred. US variety is a rare but highly prized. Weight is important because no man wish to be suffocated. In our glorious China you can buy good food with 900 US Dollars per month. But you will not have enough for delicacy such as bird's nest, bear claw(not the bread bun), shark fin soup, tiger penis, snake liver, or other kind of good food. Show a photograph of yourself and we glorious Chinese men can judge if your maturity is preferred.

If you don't speak the language and don't have a degree, what is that you have that they cannot find in China to offer you a job? There are so much information missing here. Better stay home.

Most legit places require a four year degree. They don't tell you where you'd be teaching,or whom. They can send you to a small town out in the boonies. Now knowing Mandarin,I don't think you would be very happy there.Sorry, but I would pass on this.
What would you do if you went there and hated it?You'd be stuck for the term of your contract.

Have you tried to google the background of this company? You could also try to contact the Chinese Embassy/Consulate nearest you for their advice.

Do not pay anything nor sending your personal and bank information. After you receive their written contract and company background, check it via google and Chinese Embassy/Consulate.

Presumably you're from England. You could also try contacting the UK Embassy/Consulate inside China for advice. You could also try approaching the British Council or Bristish Association inside China for their advice too. Good luck.
