Is he just trying to reject me?

I'm 19. I like this guy who is 22. He says that i'm too young for him to a friend. Is that just an excuse to reject me?

He's probably just being honest. There isn't a huge age difference, so maybe he feels that you're too young for him emotionally. Plus at 22 he is legally able to do a lot of things that 19 year olds cannot - like go into nightclubs and get drunk without a fake ID. It would probably better to find somebody else. :-)

Sorry sweetie but he probably isn't interested in you. :( But i'm sure you will find someone. Just keep having fun, and doing whatever you do best! don't waste your time waiting for him to like you. You might be waiting for a long time.

He's not trying to "let you down easy" if he's giving the answer to someone else, so I think he's probably telling the truth: he's rejecting you because you're too young for him. Why would he lie about something like that to his friend?
