Is it worth buying vaccume cleaners with the HEPA filter?

I don't think it's so much having a Hepa filter as having a vaccum that doesn't lose suction in the first place. I bought a Dyson Animal 2 yrs ago and it is the best vaccum, so worth the money. I have a bulldog and a cat so pet hair and dander are rampant at my house, this vaccum eliminates that problem. And the filter on them is washable and reusable. SO instead of an average vac with a HEPA filter, get a great vac with never ending suction and a HEPA filter won't be necessary. I paid almost 600$ US dollars for my animal and it was worth every penny.

I almost got one but when I say how expensive the replacement filter for it was I changed my mind. The vacuum was about 80 bucks and replacement filter was over 20 dollars.

all the ones I have had worked extremely well for about ten minutes then clogged up, I took them all out

Absolutely especially if someone in the house has allergies. I also use a bag-less machine, will NEVER use one with bags. You can get replacement HEPA filters online but they are about $20. However, I only change mine every 6 months and then I clean it and use it one more time before I throw it out. Worth the extra effort and costs in my book....

I don't like mine it gets clogged all the time. when the filter is old The vaccume will just blow all the dirt and dust back out. The heppa filter is soooo expensive to replace too. :)

Depends on many variables...

How allergic are people in the house?

How important is clean air to you?

Is it a good, reputable product?

And so on....

Keep in mind that garden variety vacuums merely lift the allergens out of the carpet and spew them into the air because their bags are so porous. HEPA filters insure that these allergens are kept where they belong. The choice is up to you. To me, they're well worth it.

i would say yes to that one, i have 3 cats and it picks up there hair very well, i would not do without it. i have got 2 herpa vacum cleaners.
