Where to stay in Milan, Italy.I am a student so quite cheap nothing too fancy?

For anyone who is familiar with Milan or has stayed here before can you give me some advice on where I could stay, hotels, bed and breakfasts etc that are quite close to the city centre but aren't going to cost me an arm and a leg!! Thanks!

Milan costs an arm and a leg. There's a youth hostel within a tram ride of the centre. If you want something more comfortable, find a locanda (run a search on Locanda, Milano). These are high class B&Bs. They tend to come and go so I can't recommend the one I last stayed at.

PS. Yes I can, it's http://www.locanda.it/eng/locanda.html
Don't let them rip you off for bottles of water - they are half the price in the shop across the road.
