Just booked a weekend break in rome can i cancel even if it says 100% non refundable?

hi only genuine answers only iv booked a break in rome at a hotel just outside of rome now iv been reading reviews and they all say stay away from the hotel as the shuttle stops at 10 at night and the taxis are an absolute fortune and there are prostitutes outside the hotel dirty needles etc doesn't sound good. Now on the papers i received it says i king size bed non smoking 100% non refundable cancellation policy on another piece of paper it says checkout and check in at 12 cancellation polices vary by hotel since hotel can set a cancellation policy up to 30 days prior to arrival.Iv already payed in full for the holiday and took it on the holiday firm recommendation that this hotel was good. i only booked on friday please help if you can

The simple answer is - of course you can cancel it.

The question you must be asking, however, must be - can you get your money back?

From what you say, some statements about the reservation seem to be in conflict with others. The only way to find out about a refund is to call the travel agency and/or the hotel itself. We cannot actually do anything to help you.
