I'm going to Naama Bay in Sharm el Sheikh where is best to change currency there?

Can anyone recommend somewhere? I'll be staying at the Halomy Hotel so I'm able to walk into the bay area. Please provide rough directions if known! Also, I assume it's best just to take my English money in cash out there ready to change up?

Thank you in advance!

Hello

i am working as Holiday Rep in Sharm El-Sheikh ,

The best is to take English money CASH and change over here to Egyptian money

As the exchange rate here today is nearly 9 Egyptian pounds to 1 English so your money worth more here in Egypt

You can change your money in any one of the Exchange offices in Naama bay or at any back as the Exchange rates are quite controlled by our government so you should find the same Exchange rate all over the Country

Please check the first website in the sources so you can get a better idea about the today Exchange rate , the website is for the CIB bank which is an Egyptian bank and they do update the exchange rate Every day

The 2nd website is to give you a better idea about what you can do or see while visiting Sharm El-Sheikh

I've been to Egypt many times and i wouldn't recommend you take English money.Take travellers cheques or Egyptian pounds. You should be able to cash your cheques at your hotel, even if it's just a small one they should do it for you.

    Hope you have fun =)

Some hotels have ATMs in the grounds; there are several cash points around Na'ama.

Take sterling, or sterling travellers cheques & exchange there - better rate. Visa, Visa Electron, Plus Card, MasterCard, Maestro, and Cirrus are all acceptable in almost all ATM's in Egypt. In addition, all cards carrying "123" or "NAPS" ATM network logos are also acceptable.

Exchange rate in Egypt is better for you.
There are many exchange offices in the area and it is almost the same.
Take cash and your credit cards.

I would recommend any of the banks or the exchange offices.
I have to say that exchange offices usually offer slightly better rates, than banks.

All hotels would change the money for you. Just make sure of the exchange rate they are adopting(should be around the Egyptian Central Bank declared exchange rates). Follow the link http://www.cbe.org.eg/
